Although the position is elected Constables are state certified Police Officers due to the training they receive at a Police Recruit Academy,  and again are subject to the same annual updates as other officers. Constables are under the direct supervision of the Town Board and work closely with the Town Board to keep the order in the Township.

Osceola Water Patrol Officers are state certified Police Officers for the state of Wisconsin, as officers they are updated on training almost on a constant basis to keep the officers ready and able to handle any calls they may be dipatched to or come upon while on duty. Aside from that training all officers in the water patrol are subject to completing a boater safety course which is put on by the department every year.

Also the D.N.R. and the Water Patrols while on patrol have programs in place to reward children for being safe and wearing their life jackets that are U.S. Coast Guard approved. This is done with coupons from Culvers Restaurants for ice cream.

Officers are trained in handling Boat accidents, ordinance violations, and state water regulation violations, but are also available to handle any questions you may have in regards to boating safely and or complaints you would like to file.
So feel free to approach an officer with any thing you may need help with.
